Sorry Press at Print/Pause
1A+ takes the Munich publisher to Lisbon: three days of independent print culture at the Goethe-Institut, 16–18 October.
This weekend, 1A+ represents Sorry Press at Print/Pause Lisboa, a brand-new international fair for independent publishing and self-publishing in journalism, the arts and knowledge. Come by our table at the Goethe-Institut, leaf through the books and say hello.
About Sorry Press
Sorry Press is an independent publishing house in Munich. Its programme circles around literature, architecture, art and design, and it believes in the book as a whole: content and design, carried equally. The house motto sums up the attitude: “Sorry, everything you want!”
The catalogue ranges widely. It includes It Began in Ipanema by Daniel Haaksman, Landscapes by Simon Denny, Das Kapitel by Stefan Marx, Prishtina in 53 Buildings (eds. Donika Luzhnica and Jonas König), Nachts. Clubkultur in München and Leaking Subjects and Bounding Boxes: On Training AI by Elisa Giardina Papa. There are also recurring formats such as the New Aesthetic series and the Sorry Reports, a series of issue-based publications on themes like Speed, Ignorance, Irreligion, Kyiv and Smorfia.
About the fair
Print/Pause Lisboa is organised by Gerador and brings together the people behind the publications: makers, editors and designers who share their processes, their editorial obsessions and the practical problems of getting print into the world. Around the fair there are launches, talks, workshops, exhibitions and late-night conversations. Print, slowed down on purpose.
